• Meet Your Local Firefighters: Take photos, ask questions, and chat with the team—plus learn about rewarding opportunities to volunteer with BTFD!

The Burlington Township Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made National Night Out 2026 an absolute success! On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, our community came together for an unforgettable evening dedicated to safety, unity, and building strong neighborhood partnerships. From fire apparatus tours and touch-a-truck activities to handing out education and prevention to the community, it was a fantastic opportunity for our firefighters to connect with residents of all ages.

We here at the Burlington Township Fire Department want to extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone who made this year’s Burlington Township Emergency Services Youth Academy an absolute triumph.

The Fire Department Program within the Youth Academy was designed to give local youth a genuine, behind-the-scenes look at what it means to serve. Rather than just sitting in a classroom, our cadets stepped right into the action. Through live, hands-on demonstrations, they experienced the real-world challenges, discipline, and teamwork required in emergency services every single day—from handling active equipment, seeing live demonstrations, touring the equipment and mastering fundamental techniques.

A Message of Gratitude

An event of this scale does not happen without an incredible support system, and we wish to recognize those who made it all possible:

· Our First Responders: Thank you to the dedicated firefighters, officers, and emergency personnel who took the time to mentor, teach, and keep our cadets safe. Your passion for the job and commitment to training the next generation was truly seen and appreciated.

· Our Community & Families: Thank you to the parents, guardians, and Burlington Township residents for trusting us with your youth and coming out to support them at graduation. Your encouragement fuels the strong relationship between our department and the community we proudly serve.

· Our Youth Cadets: Most importantly, to the young men and women who attended—you brought energy, focus, and grit. You proved that the future of Burlington Township is bright.

Programs like the Burlington Township Emergency Services Youth Academy reinforce the bond between our department and the community we serve and protect. We are incredibly proud of this year’s class, and we look forward to seeing many of these bright young individuals wear the uniform themselves one day.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT BUREAU OF FIRE PREVENTION
Event Date: June 16, 2026

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Relief Fire Company No. 3 of the Burlington Township Fire Department partnered with the American Red Cross to host our annual Summer Blood Drive. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our local residents, the event was a massive success!

We had a phenomenal turnout, with over 30 incredible individuals rolling up their sleeves to donate life-saving blood. In times when blood supplies are historically low, our community showed up in a big way to prove that together, we are stronger.

The firehouse was full of positive energy, complete with handwritten thank-you cards from local students cheering on our donors, and plenty of post-donation snacks to keep everyone refueled. Every single donation has the potential to save up to three lives, meaning the impact of this single afternoon will ripple out to help dozens of patients facing medical emergencies, surgeries, and critical treatments.

What’s Next?

Because of this amazing response, we cannot wait to host the American Red Cross again for another drive supporting this vital cause.

On June 6, 2026, the members of the Burlington Township Fire Department were proud to participate in the Rock the Block community event, and we had an incredible time connecting with residents and visitors throughout the day.

From fire truck tours and fire safety education to handing out informational materials and fun giveaways, the event provided a wonderful opportunity to engage with our community in a positive and meaningful way. We enjoyed meeting so many families, answering questions about fire safety, and sharing information about the services we provide to keep Burlington Township fire safe.

Community events like Rock the Block help strengthen the relationship between the fire department and the people we proudly serve. We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, explored our apparatus, and spent time with our firefighters and fire prevention personnel.

On Wednesday, March 25th, the Burlington Township Fire Department officially swore in Ashley L Johnson to lead our Fire Prevention, Investigation, and Safety efforts as the New Fire Official.
