The Burlington Township Bureau of Fire Prevention is dedicated to protecting the lives and property of our residents, businesses, and visitors. Our mission is achieved through a proactive combination of code enforcement, public education, engineering and plans review, and thorough fire investigations. Compliance & Inspections

The Fire Prevention Bureau conducts regular inspections on all structures (excluding owner-occupied dwellings) to ensure compliance with the State of New Jersey Fire Safety Code and local municipal ordinances. These inspections focus on critical safety factors, including:

• Maintenance of fire protection and alarm systems.
• Ensuring proper egress and clear exit paths.
• Accessibility for emergency fire service personnel.
• General on-site safety practices.

Community Programs & Outreach
